INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION


Recognizing the importance of international cooperation for leveraging resources, adopting standards, promoting professionalism and raising awareness for new ICT trends, SECC formed a network of partnerships and international cooperation with a number of reputable organizations.

 

ENGLAND
Open Data Institute (ODI)

SECC has successfully passed a three-stage assessment process to join ODI, headquartered in London, global network as "Cairo Node". Cairo Node is the first ODI node in Africa to offer training programs, workshops, and events to promote and enable value creation through open data in Egypt.

The ODI is a non-profit organization founded by Sirs Tim Berners-Lee and Nigel Shadbolt in UK with the goal of catalyzing the evolution of Open Data culture to create economic, environmental and social value. ODI has a global network of more than 20 members in many countries among which are USA, Canada, Italy, France, Sweden, Russia, South Korea, Brazil, Argentine, Australia, Japan and the UAE.
Systonomy

In March 2010, SECC launched its Six Sigma collaborative project with the European Software Institute (ESI) and Systonomy Company in England. The aim of the project was to build Six Sigma capacity for IT and Software Engineering community as well as build Six Sigma capacity within SECC to provide Six Sigma consultancy and training services.
 
FINLAND
Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT, Finland)

VTT is the largest research and technology organization in Northern Europe. VTT is SECC strategic alliance in the RECOCAPE project coordinated and executed by SECC within the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) funded by the European Commission. RECOCAPE focuses on potential technologies related to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Semantic Web, Model-Driven Development (MDD), and Embedded Ubiquitous Computing, where VTT is an expert in Embedded Ubiquitous Computing.
 
ITALY
University of Bologna (UNIBO, Italy)

University of Bologna (UNIBO) is the reputable, oldest university in the western world. VTT is SECC strategic alliance in the RECOCAPE project coordinated and executed by SECC within the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) funded by the European Commission. RECOCAPE focuses on potential technologies related to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Semantic Web, Model-Driven Development (MDD), and Embedded Ubiquitous Computing, where UNIBO is an expert in Semantic Web technologies.
 
INDIA
QAI India

Due to the high demand in IT Service Management, SECC initiated the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) program in collaboration with QAI India, in March 2009. The program aims at building the ITIL best practices capabilities at SECC and six local companies. Now the companies had successfully implemented the ITIL best practices and SECC has five certified ITIL Experts.
 
KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA
SURE International Technology

On 19 May 2013, SECC partnered with the Saudi company, Sure International Technology. SURE International Technology is considered one of the fastest growing companies in the field of information technology and technical consultations.
ARCOM

SECC partnered with ARCOM company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in year 2007 to provide SECC services to the Saudi ICT companies through ARCOM as SECC marketing partner. ARCOM is a reputable company that provides KSA government agencies including the military and local agencies and activities with information technology and telecommunications hardware, software and professional services.
 
NIGERIA
Africa Information and Communication Technologies Alliance (AFICTA)

On 22 May 2013, SECC partnered with Africa Information and Communication Technologies Alliance (AFICTA). AFICTA is a private sector led alliance of ICT Associations, Multi-national corporations, companies, organizations and institutions in the ICT sector in Africa. AFICTA has ten member countries: Egypt, Tunisia, Kenya, Gambia, South Africa, Nigeria, Namibia, Burundi and Somalia. The partnership aims at fostering SECC existence in the African continent; as well as transferring knowledge gained by SECC experts to the African ICT companies to reach a high level of competitiveness in the global market.
 
SOUTH AFRICA
Joburg Center for Software Engineering

On 13 February 2013, SECC partnered with the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE) to collaborate in research and development activities, mutual projects and in areas of technical know-how in the African continent. JCSE is a three way partnership between government, academia and industry. Based at Wits University, the JCSE is multifaceted with various programmes and facilities positioning it as a focal point of a software development industry for South Africa and the rest of the continent.
 
SOUTH KOREA
Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)

SECC identified Embedded Software as one of the key technologies that Egypt can excel and started an R&D project with Korea International cooperation Agency (KOICA). Based on this, seven SECC staff members have completed a 6-month advanced embedded software training program in South Korea and a state-of-the-art embedded software development lab has been established.
 
SPAIN
Fundacion Tecnalia Research & Innovation (TECNALIA, Spain)

Fundacion Tecnalia Research & Innovation (Tecnalia) is the leading private and independent research and technology entity in Spain and the fifth largest in Europe. TECNALIA is SECC strategic alliance in the RECOCAPE project coordinated and executed by SECC within the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) funded by the European Commission. RECOCAPE focuses on potential technologies related to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Semantic Web, Model-Driven Development (MDD), and Embedded Ubiquitous Computing, where TECNALIA is an expert in SOA and MDD technologies.
 
SYRIA
The Syrian Computer Society (SCS)

SECC partnered with the Syrian Computer Society (SCS) in 2009 to provide SECC services to the Syrian ICT companies through SCS as SECC marketing partner. SCS objective is to help develop the IT culture in the Syrian society, among students, businessmen, government officials and others. Eight Syrian companies participated at the SPI of SMEs Program, three of which have been appraised to CMMI Maturity Levels 2 & 3.
 
USA
The Open Group: Architecture Forum

SECC joined The Open Group's Architecture Forum in May 2015. The Architecture Forum is recognized as the leading global Enterprise Architecture organization. The Open Group is made up of credible staff experts; high-profile member organizations from around the world; influential member representatives working in our Governing Board, Forums and Work Groups; and established local partners that further our work and reputation across the globe.
